Three Jacksonville startups were selected as semi-finalists in a national startup competition: SUP-X: The Startup Expo, this March in Fort Lauderdale.

IntoGo and Xen Health, both from PS27 Ventures, and Water Me Green from the Bunker Labs accelerator will all present.

The companies will receive a free both at the conference as well as be considered for the finals, where they can compete for $50,000 in cash prizes.

In all, 50 startups from ten states and 25 cities were selected to compete; 31 were selected from Florida.

SUP-X: The Startup Expo is the largest startup conference in Florida and one of the largest in the country, according to a statement. About 1,500 attendees are expected.

The two-day, international conference runs March 6-7 at the Broward Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale.

“We’re excited to have these outstanding startups represent their communities in our startup competition,” said Conference Founder Bob Fitts, in a statement. “We have startups coming from all over North America and the Caribbean. The exchange of ideas, learning opportunities and chance to form relationships make for a great experience for them. It will be interesting to see who wins, but it should be a very valuable experience for them regardless.”

The conference also features a “Diversity in Entrepreneurship Forum,” that focuses on the needs of those that are underrepresented and underserved in the startup and venture capital communities, as well as panels ranging on topics from financial tech to good design to minority access to capital. Jacksonville teen entrepreneur Shelby Gogulski, who recently competed on Shark Tank, will be one of the event speakers.
